My name is Tommaso Petillo, but I have been called Tommy since I can remember. I am a product designer, originally from Rome, Italy but gradually fell in love with Scotland and moved here 10 years ago. Here I completed an HND course in Product Design at City of Glasgow College and then graduated with a BDes(Hons) in Product Design from the Glasgow School of Art.
In my previous life I worked in the screen printing industry and within the art scene in Rome, organising exhibitions and designing furniture.
I have had the pleasure in working in many fields, from running upcycling workshops with kids to developing theatrical props. From building tree houses to casting concrete fireplaces.
I am a thinker and a doer, and I believe in simplicity and professionalism. I am passionate about every form of art and design, I love travelling , reading and I love good food and wine. - Who are you?
